General Manager
Full-time position available from Monday 10th May including 28 days annual paid leave
The job will involve weekends and evening shifts on a rota system with the assistant manager
Preferred experience and qualifications in business management, Maths/English L2, computer literate and hold a personal alcohol license
Salary is £25 - £28K per annum with an annual bonus awarded as per employment contract
An experienced, self-motivated, and results-driven General Manager required to direct and manage Finsley Gate Wharf Ltd: A new and exciting canal-side leisure facility comprising a restaurant, cafe-bar, function suite, wedding venue, visitors centra, and public realm area for outdoor events.
Duties for the General Manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, co-ordinating business operations, hiring, training, and motivating staff, managing operational costs, engaging with clients, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, meeting Health and Safety requirements, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.
A thoughtful, entrepreneurial spirit and vision for future direction are necessary for the generation of new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.
The successful candidate for the role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional financial skills, and strong leadership qualities. The General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, protect and enhance the business's image, drive sales and increase revenue. Ultimately, to help Finsley Gate Wharf Ltd grow and succeed.
General Manager responsibilities:
